how much work/effort does it take to produce a render like that Stump?

I try not to put too much work and effort into these renders where possible but don't tell the boss!

This job was very easy. I already had all the textures apart from the wallpaper (that took a good half-hour to find) but I will use it again as it works well. Winners textures are rubbish apart from a few tiles that I use so you build up your own collection.

The design from start to finish took no more than 2 hours, that's costed (that would include at least one tea break), it's a very simple basic kitchen (rental) as he buys a new kitchen every 3 years with new tenets. The 7 renders at the max quality for Winner, took a further 1.5 hours as I  have a very speedy desktop and there were no reflective glass panels that love to eat up my render times.

I wish I had added a slight texture to the ironwork and left out the bloody cat.

I always find, the larger the room, the easier the job. As we all know, trying to squeeze all the customer's wishes into a shoebox can be challenging.

Very good Stumpy.

Hows about introducing yourself to the forum, a little bit of background, what you currently do etc?
We're all ears - and a friendly bunch!

You reckon... ;-)
One thing i cannot understand is why they don't use bump mapping for materials in Winner? It has no, or very little, overhead on performance. Materials just look to smooth lol...
