Would like to become a fitter
#1
Hi all,

Am very interested in learning to become a fitter, needs a little guidance but learns quick and works to a high standard. Currently working in the industry but would like to progress to something more substantial.

Anybody know of somebody local looking to invest some time in me with the intention of gaining another fitter?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What skills do you have now?

Its no easy path to becoming a dedicated kitchen fitter.

Getting on board with a fitter is the obvious way, you would have to give him an incentive  to take you on, either very little pay or chocolate biscuits.  As kitchen fitters we all see the bottom line. If some one in my close area wants to come and work with me.  I have to think in a few years i will be competing agains him in an already volatile market.

good luck

Understandable that.

A friend of mine is a really good plumber and took on an apprentice 3 years ago, the apprentice got so good at the job and capable my mate offered him a partnership as opposed to setting up in competition.  They're now doing so well together and taking on more plumbers.

Like mindedness and none greedy business partners are hard to find Doh
